Methodology
By using Koolfoam lightweight fill the builder was able to reduce the weight on to the retaining wall itself, and therefore was able to scale down the retaining wall structure.
This led to substantial cost savings for the project.
Once the retaining wall was back-filled with Koolfoam light weight polystyrene fill the access road for the retirement village was built on top.
