Geofoam refers to the use of polystyrene as light weight structural fill in roading and construction.
This technology, although relatively new to New Zealand, is gaining wider acceptance amongst builders and engineers as a cost effective and acceptable solution.

Geofoam used at Coopers Beach SH1, NZ
Polystyrene weighs approximately 1/100th of standard fill and virtually elimates lateral pressure and vertical movement that is typical with other types of fill.
Koolfoam has been involved with Geofoam since 1982 and we have supplied blocks of various sizes and densities for this application throughout the North Island.
Due to our state of the art computerised production equipment we are able to produce EPS blocks with accurate density and with straight and true dimensions.
Please check out our case study section on Geofoam projects that have been supplied by Koolfoam.
